Comments
d. CHIC: The inscription was not put on face c, which was already impressed with the 2 impressions (normally placed on the opposing face a); JGY: cf. #020. It is as if the inscription and impressions were reversed - the impression providing the standard texts (placename and transaction) and the inscription providing the commodity; on #020, the impression provides not only the transaction, but also the commodity.
g2. If we read the engraved images as an inscription, catface-031 or MA-RE , there are Linear A parallels on HT 55a.1 and possibly PH 30.2; a place Ib-NU-MA-RE is also associated with VIN on ZA 5b.1 and ZA 15a.4-5.
